Section 6 (Geumganggil Trail): Northern edge of Mt. Gyejoksan and Geumgang River

As a course where the northern edge of Mt. Gyejongsan and the northern Geumgang River in Daejeon meet, the 5km sector along Geumgang River offers a new sensation at Daejeon Dullesan-gil Trail.
Departing from the Yonghwasa Temple parking lot, stopping at Yonghwasa Temple to see the Yonghwasa Standing Stone Buddha that has been designated as Daejeon City’s Tangible Cultural Property No. 26, then moving onto Bonghwajeong Pavilion at the summit of Mt. Gyejoksan is recommended.
If you look around Bonghwangjeong, the 12 sections of Daejeon Dullesan-gil can be seen at a glance, and the sunset from Mt. Gyejoksan is one of the Eight Most Popular and Beautiful Sights of Daejeon.

The trail leading from Jangdonggogae Pass to Bonghwangjeong Pavilion is perfect for viewing the north side of Daejeon.
You can turn slightly towards the west without passing through the barbed wires of the military unit at the ridge past Jangdonggogae Pass.
By taking the by-road of Daejeon Railway Depot, you can join the ridge again and proceed towards Geumgang River - you will be greeted by the edge of Mt. Gyejoksan where you can view the main stream of Geumgang River and the amazing plain of Nosan-ri, Hyeondo-myeon, Cheongwon-gun.
In particular, the 5km section along Geumgang River and Gapcheon Stream offers a new hiking thrill. In the vicinity of Section 6, Yongho-dong Paleolithic site, Yongho-dong Do Doljangseung (Stone Totem Pole), Sintanjin Water Purification Plant, Daecheong Dam, Geumgodongsanseong Fortress and others can be seen.
